So much for my thoughts of last week – neither of us have done a stick of extra exercise or passage planning – this week IS the week!
The next couple of weeks are about locking in crew dates and final monies to be paid for the boat charter.
We have several books about the BVIs and other Caribbean islands which I am reading and re-reading. Once you are actually planning this kind of trip you look at books quite differently. What seemed pretty informative before now seems a bit vague – now I’m after good details. We had thought about the possibility of doing an e-book about this trip and that is becoming a strong plan now. Having said that I realise it will need some structured discipline while we’re travelling to really capture good, useable, practical and relevant info. To bad if I think of things once it’s over. I’m thinking daily blogging but also a couple of journals. Obviously a sailing log but also other staple elements – maybe ?provisioning in detail ?immigration in and outs? Things not readily available?
