Leaving Trellis Bay ultimately heading for Virgin Gorda and the Bitter End Yacht Club. Tried to stop at ‘The Baths’, an amazing rock formation right on the beach, but alas no moorings and very strong winds and rough water so no stopping for us.
Strong winds today 20 knots and more all day so we opted to sail and motor today. Arriving at the beautiful Bitter End Yacht Club was an amazing sight. It is gorgeous with lots of moorings too which added to our happiness. Our first boat hook overboard while mooring – Barb to the rescue – dived in like an Olympian and got it!
This is the last stop on English territory so we have to swing out to the customs office just across the way. Felt quite luxourious to be here. Refuelled and rewatered here – Anthony very chuffed his calculations were pretty well spot on.
We’ve decided to stay here 2 nights – to relax a bit (can never have too much relaxing) and also prepare for our longest leg of 85 mn across to St Maarten. A good chance to assess, do some washing too.
