Happy Birthday Anthony !!
Here we are in White Bay – today is Foxy day which , as you remember, started this whole thing. It’s just as we remembered – not too busy yet.
The party tonight will be a ‘freak circus’ night – there’s food and bar stalls all along the beach so they’re expecting a big big crowd. Foxys is a pretty big, open bar right on the beach. It’s places like this that everyone chats cos everyone is having some sort of adventure. Families who’ve been sailing around for months, home schooling – wow!
Still no joy getting a berth in the harbour of Foxy’s so we’ve decided to spend daytime here and welcome the new year in White Bay. Lots of tenders coming and going most of the afternoon. GnT and whiskies at Ivan’s bar on the beach. When we were back on board we were approached by some very very serious customs officials in a monster black craft – do NOT try to crack any jokes or pleasanteries with these folk! Passport and custom checks – good grief they were pretty scary really. Lots of groups took their tenders around to Foxys for the night celebrations – eek – we didn’t fancy the trip back in the dark!
