Night sailing is pretty awesome! for one the stars are like you’ve never seen before! We were able to sail the whole way – 80nm – should take about 12 hours or so – which meant it was pretty quiet cos we rarely had the motors going. Winds were about 1-15 knots most of the way. We watched in shifts 9-12/12-3/3-4/4-5. We arrived at Virgin Gorda BVIs , Bitter End Yacht Club at about 630am so had to anchor and wait for customs (back in British territory) to open. Well that sounds easy doesn’t it. Well Anthony had to do the check-in as he was the skipper so that left the 3 of us on the boat of course which we found kept dragging. Anthony had left the anchor alarm system on which kept going off incessantly! Thank goodness it’s the last time we have to check-in anywhere cos check-out will be at the airport and we’ll be heading home.
Needless to say we’re all a bit weary today so we’ve headed on-shore to catch-up on internet things. Found some very comfy banana lounges in the shade so read and dozed. We sort of mapped out the next 7 days too. All early to bed
