We decided to have a tour around today but we found the biggest challenge here in Iles des Saintes is finding English speakers. Thank goodness the girl in the information shop spoke pretty good English and helped us. A tour isn’t quite the same when you can’t understand a word the tour guide is saying. One Frenchman onboard did some translation for us which was great. Napoleon Fort was interesting, spotted a couple of iguanas.
Had dinner onshore at a place right on the water – bad decision – poor food, poor service and big bill! Oh well you live and learn. I think we lost a lot in translation on the menu.
